Previously, at about 2 pm on July 13, Chau Que Commune Police received a report about a man wandering in the area, showing signs of mental impairment and not remembering the way home.
Immediately after that, the police force took this person to headquarters for care, ensuring health safety and conducting personal verification. Through professional measures, the police identified the man as Mr. Tran Van Han (born 1981, residing in Hoa Binh ward, Hai Phong city).
After many hours of verification, Chau Que Commune Police contacted Mr. Han's family. At about 9 pm on the same day, Mr. Han was safely handed over to his relatives. The entire amount of 17.5 million VND he brought with him was also carefully preserved and returned in full by the police force.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, promptly supporting people facing difficulties and ensuring safety for people and property continues to demonstrate the spirit of responsibility and dedication of the commune-level police force in serving the people.
Through the incident, Chau Que Commune Police recommends that families with elderly people, people with neurological diseases or memory decline need to regularly pay attention and monitor.
People should also bring personal papers or contact information of relatives when going out to facilitate support in case of incidents.
