There are values that become quieter but more persistent over time. Parental love is one of them. Only when they grow up do many people realize that their mother's hair has turned grayer, their father's hands have added wrinkles, and the silent sacrifices of years have become the foundation for today's life.
Therefore, Vu Lan season is not only an occasion to show gratitude to parents but also reminds each person to slow down amidst the hustle and bustle of life to return to their families, to their roots and the human values that have nurtured the souls of Vietnamese people through many generations.

Taking that spirit as a continuous source, the Duyen 8 program with "Go Back - Meet Mother's Youth Again" took place in the evening of August 9 at Ho Van, belonging to the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam National Special Relic Complex (Hanoi). The program combines music, cultural exchange and community activities to spread the message of filial piety in the Vu Lan season.
The highlight of the program is the "Letter to Mother's Youth" journey, encouraging people to write handwritten letters to their parents, grandparents or those who raised them.

Singer Hien Anh "Sao Mai" - the initiator of the program, said: "I hope Duyen 8 is not just an art program of the Vu Lan season but will become a cultural journey for everyone to have the opportunity to return to their parents, to their roots and to the values of filial piety and learning. If a letter or a return can make someone spend more time with their family, then that is already happiness.
In addition to letter writing activities, the program also has music performances with the theme of family, gratitude and filial piety; combined with a space for enjoying tea, calligraphy, cultural exchange and seminars revolving around stories about parents and childhood memories.
The selection of Ho Van as the venue also carries symbolic meaning. Located in the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam complex, a place associated with the tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers, this space contributes to connecting the message of filial piety with Taoism, towards fostering cultural values in modern life.

According to the organizers, the program is part of a series of activities in response to the Vu Lan season in 2026. Previously, the journey was organized at some pagodas in Quang Ninh, Hanoi and Hung Yen, combining cultural, musical and charity activities.
