Lao Cai - Picking up a handbag containing 22 million VND and papers, a woman brought it to Au Lau Ward Police to find the person who dropped it.

On June 29, Au Lau Ward Police, Lao Cai province said that the unit had just supported the return of a handbag containing 22 million VND in cash and many important papers to the person who dropped it after a honest citizen brought it to report.

At about 9:30 am on June 27, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Trang (born 1992, residing in Luong Tam village, Luong Thinh commune) passed through the gate area of Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 1 (belonging to Tien Phong residential group, Au Lau ward) and picked up a black leather bag.

Checking inside, Ms. Trang found personal papers in the name of Mr. Dinh Ba Son and 22 million VND in cash. Without hesitation, she brought all her assets to Au Lau Ward Police to report, asking to find the person who dropped them.

Immediately after receiving the information, Au Lau Ward Police proceeded to verify and quickly contacted the owner, Mr. Dinh Ba Son (born 1988, residing in Minh Quan 7 village, Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province).

After comparing and verifying complete information, the police force returned the handbag intact along with all the money and papers to Mr. Son in accordance with regulations.

Receiving the property back, Mr. Son expressed his joy and emotion and thanked Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Trang for her honest action, and at the same time thanked officers and soldiers of Au Lau Ward Police for quickly supporting verification, helping the property return to its owner soon.

According to the Au Lau Ward Police, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Trang's actions are a beautiful action, contributing to spreading the spirit of honesty, responsibility and human values in the community.
