Giving hundreds of gifts to people and children in Quang Tri border area

Quang Tri - Huong Phung Border Guard coordinates with local authorities and charity delegations to give hundreds of gifts to people and children in border areas.

On July 5, Huong Phung Border Guard Station coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Phung commune (Quang Tri province) and the Truong Luu Pagoda charity delegation (Hue City) to organize a program to give gifts to people and children in difficult circumstances in Cooc village, Huong Phung commune, Quang Tri province.

The program was organized to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), with the participation of representatives of local authorities, the Fatherland Front Committee of Cooc village, members of the charity delegation, and a large number of officials, soldiers and people.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Bang - Deputy Political Commissar of Huong Phung Border Guard Station, at the program, the charity delegation presented 150 gifts including backpacks, clothes, notebooks and new sandals to 150 children; presented 15 gifts to children under the program "Raising children to school - Border Guard Station adopted children"; and presented 100 gifts including essential necessities to 100 policy households in difficult circumstances.

The total value of the gifts is about 150 million VND. The delegation also served 200 free bowls of Hue vermicelli to people and children participating in the program.

Representatives of Huong Phung Border Guard Station said that the activity contributes to caring for the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, while strengthening the connection between the Border Guard force, local authorities and charitable organizations in social security work.
