According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, sending addicts to compulsory detoxification is the result of a process of reviewing, strictly managing the area and proactively grasping the situation.
Over the past time, Yen Bai Ward Police have strengthened the management of addicts and illegal drug users; regularly reviewed, detected and made records for handling according to the provisions of law.
In parallel with that, the unit promotes propaganda and mobilizes people to actively participate in drug prevention and control, raise vigilance and build a safe and healthy living environment.
According to functional forces, drugs are the cause of many types of crimes and violations of the law such as theft, robbery, disturbing public order, and domestic violence.
Therefore, sending addicts to compulsory detoxification facilities not only helps reduce the demand for drugs but also contributes to reducing crime and ensuring security and order in the area.
The above results continue to affirm the determination of Yen Bai Ward Police in implementing the Plan to build communes and wards without drugs in 2026, gradually cleaning up the area and maintaining peace for the people.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to strengthen the management of the area, review addicts and illegal drug users; resolutely strictly handle violations according to regulations.
Yen Bai Ward Police also recommends that people raise awareness of drug prevention and control; manage and educate children in the family and actively denounce violations. When detecting signs related to drugs, people need to promptly notify the Police agency for coordination in handling.
