Giving gifts to people affected by Agent Orange in the highlands of Hue City

HUE - Hue City Military Command coordinates with the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and units to give gifts and support livelihoods for people affected by Agent Orange.

The program is organized to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2026).

At the program, the Hue City Military Command and accompanying units presented 106 gifts and practical support forms to cases affected by Agent Orange/dioxin in A Luoi 4 commune.

Among them, 30 cases received gifts; 40 cases were supported with wheelchairs. In addition, 30 families were supported with piglets to develop livelihoods and 6 families were awarded fruit tree seedlings.

These are all cases with particularly difficult circumstances living in A Luoi 4 commune.

At the program, Colonel Ha Van Ai - Deputy Political Commissar of Hue City Military Command visited and encouraged families, and shared the difficulties that people affected by Agent Orange/dioxin are facing.

On this occasion, the Hue City Military Command deployed the skillful mass mobilization model "Hue City Military Command accompanies and shares the pain of Agent Orange/dioxin in the city in the period 2026-2030 and the following years".

The model aims to accompany and support families affected by Agent Orange/dioxin, especially those who are still facing difficulties in life and livelihood.

Through support activities, the Hue City Military Command and accompanying units expect to help families have more conditions to stabilize their lives and gradually improve their livelihoods.
