Joining hands to dismantle temporary houses to build new houses for policy families

Nghe An - Military forces and mass organizations in Mau Thach commune have joined hands to support the preparation for building new houses for policy families in difficult circumstances.

On May 9, information from the People's Committee of Mau Thach commune said that the Military Command of the commune had just coordinated with socio-political organizations in the area to join hands to support a family that is the biological child of resistance activists infected with chemical toxins to dismantle old houses to prepare for building new houses.

Mau Thach commune is a mountainous commune in western Nghe An province, established on the basis of merging Mau Duc commune and Thach Ngan commune of the old Con Cuong district. The locality currently has an area of more than 164 km2 with about 13,200 people living there.

The activity is implemented to implement Official Dispatch No. 270/TTg-KGVX dated March 21, 2026 of the Prime Minister, Plan No. 1247/KH-QK dated April 16, 2026 of Military Region 4 and local plans on the program to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses for policy beneficiaries.

Accordingly, officers and soldiers of the Military Command of the commune, along with union members and association members of mass organizations, directly participated in dismantling the degraded old roof, transporting materials, cleaning the ground and consolidating the premises to serve the construction of a new house for the family.

With a spirit of responsibility and sharing, the activity not only contributes to helping families reduce housing difficulties but also spreads the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", strengthening military-civilian solidarity in the locality.

Representatives of Mau Thach Commune People's Committee said that in the coming time, the locality will continue to coordinate with forces and organizations to mobilize social resources to jointly eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, and support policy families and people with meritorious services to stabilize their lives.
