It is known that the entire funding for the program is contributed by Buddhist Dinh Thi Kim Dung and Buddhist Le Thi Bich Nga (of An Vui Buddhism). In addition to sponsoring surgery costs, philanthropists and volunteers also accompany to take care of each meal, prepare gifts as well as be on duty to encourage the spirit of patients throughout their treatment at the hospital.
In the post-operative area, joy and emotion spread on the faces of many elderly men and women. Many patients choked up and shared that thanks to the program, they had the opportunity to clearly see their loved ones' faces and be more convenient in daily life after many years of living with blindness and opacity because they did not have money for treatment.
Representatives of the Tuong Nguyen Pagoda Charity Association said that community health care activities, especially supporting surgery to bring light to the poor, are one of the core charitable activities that the pagoda has maintained regularly for many years.
