On June 7, Venerable Thich Giac Tri, Abbot of Minh Giac Pagoda (HCMC), guided monks and Buddhists to Nha Bich commune, Dong Nai city to organize the handover ceremony of 2 houses of gratitude and present 100 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the area.
The program was also attended by Nun Thich Trung Kim, Abbot of Minh Giac Pagoda in Nha Bich commune, along with philanthropists and a large number of local people.

Accordingly, the first house was handed over to Ms. Dang Bich Nhu's household (hamlet 4, Nha Bich commune). The second house was handed over to the family of Dieu Vinh (hamlet 2, Nha Bich commune), belonging to the S'tieng ethnic group. His family is in particularly difficult circumstances with four siblings orphaned from a young age, living in poverty and without stable housing.
It is known that the total cost of building two houses and 100 gifts in this phase is worth more than 200 million VND, contributed by Minh Giac Pagoda, Tuan Phuong Cosmetics Co., Ltd. and Buddhists and philanthropists.
Each gift includes essential necessities such as rice, instant noodles, soy sauce, milk, cooking oil, sugar, MSG, mop water and many other household items, contributing to supporting people to reduce difficulties in daily life.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Nha Bich commune government expressed their gratitude to Venerable Thich Giac Tri, monks, Buddhists and philanthropists for their concern and practical support for local people, especially ethnic minorities and households in difficult circumstances. The houses of gratitude and meaningful gifts not only bring material value but also show the spirit of solidarity and sharing, contributing to ensuring social security in the locality.
On behalf of the charity delegation, Venerable Thich Dong Quang, Abbot of Minh Giac Pagoda, thanked the local authorities for their concern and creation of conditions for the program to be successful. The Venerable emphasized that social charity activities are practical aspirations of Buddhist children, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion, rescuing suffering and giving joy according to the Buddha's teachings.
