On the afternoon of May 28, a delegation of the Hue City Border Guard Command led by Colonel Hoang Minh Hung - Commander of the Hue City Border Guard (BĐBP) visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday 2570.
Receiving the delegation was Venerable Thich Khe Chon - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City.
At the meeting, Colonel Hoang Minh Hung sent best wishes to Venerable Thich Khe Chon and dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhists in Hue city to welcome a peaceful, united, and happy Buddha's Birthday.
The Commander of the Hue City Border Guard Command also respectfully acknowledged the positive contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City in social security work, consolidating the great national unity bloc.
Over the past time, dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhists have always accompanied Party committees, authorities and Border Guard forces; actively participating in social security activities, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.
On behalf of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City, Venerable Thich Khe Chon thanked the attention and affection of the Border Guard of Hue City for the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City.
Venerable Thich Khe Chon also expressed his respect for the contributions and sacrifices of officers and soldiers of the Border Guard in performing the task of protecting sovereignty, border security, and maintaining a peaceful life for the people, including monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the area.
Venerable Thich Khe Chon emphasized that the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City always encourages monks, nuns, and Buddhists to promote the tradition of living "good life, beautiful religion", actively accompanying Party committees, authorities and Border Guard forces in social security activities, towards borders and islands. Thereby, contributing to building the homeland and country to become increasingly developed.
