On April 3, at Lang Ong, Son Tra ward, Da Nang city, the opening ceremony of the Son Tra Ward Fishermen's Worshiping Festival 2026 took place, attracting a large number of people and tourists to attend. This is one of the typical traditional festivals of coastal residents, imbued with long-standing cultural and religious identity.
Within the framework of the festival, many rich activities, harmoniously combining the ceremonial part and the festival part, will take place from April 3 to 5 (ie February 16-18 of the lunar calendar). From early morning, the Nghinh Than ritual was solemnly organized, opening the main series of activities. Next is the incense offering ceremony with the participation of city leaders, departments, agencies, branches and a large number of local people.
Many unique cultural and sports activities are organized such as Tuong art performances, Bai Choi singing, gong exchanges, beach volleyball competitions. In addition, booths displaying typical products, local cuisine and OCOP products also attract a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience.


Speaking at the opening of the festival, Mr. Nguyen Huy Binh, Vice Chairman of Son Tra Ward People's Committee emphasized that the Cau Ngu Festival is not only a spiritual ritual expressing sincerity towards predecessors and Ca Ong, the god respected by fishermen, but also an opportunity to send wishes for a year of favorable weather, calm seas, favorable fishing, and a prosperous life.
Through many generations, the festival has become a cultural beauty, contributing to connecting the community and promoting the image of Son Tra coastal area to tourists. Not only carrying spiritual meaning, the Cau Ngu Festival is also an opportunity for the locality to promote community tourism development, strengthen exchanges with affiliated units and promote coastal culture.
