Mau Temple is a typical work in the Pho Hien National Special Relic Complex, and also an important religious site of Hung Yen province.

With profound historical, cultural and spiritual values, this place attracts a large number of tourists and people to worship. The sacredness of the temple is also passed down through many folk tales.

Although it has undergone many restorations, Mau Temple still retains its ancient beauty and traditional architectural value. Nghi Mon is built in a two-story, eight-roof match stacking style, including one main door and two auxiliary doors with balanced arches. On the temple gate, there are Chinese characters and seals bearing the strong imprint of Nguyen Dynasty architecture.

Passing through the gate is a spacious and airy yard, highlighted by an ancient banyan tree. The large root system creates a solid three-legged ridge, the canopy is shaded year-round, contributing to creating a sacred and solemn space.

The entire structure is arranged in the shape of the word Quoc, including main items such as Dai Bai, Trung Tu, Hau Cung and two rows of Giai Vu. The Dai Bai tower has three compartments, a double-stage and eight-roof chambered architecture, soft curved roof with sophisticated dragon and phoenix motifs.

In folklore, Mau Temple is famous as a place to pray for love, wealth and peace, which is very effective. Many people believe that coming here to sincerely pray will bring good luck in life and work.

A custom passed down from a long time ago is that pilgrims often touch the dragon's head on the bát cống palanquin to pray for blessings and fortune, men use their left hands, women use their right hands as a characteristic spiritual activity of the temple.

Every year, the Mother Goddess Temple festival is held from March 10th to 15th of the lunar calendar, attracting a large number of local people and tourists from all over to participate. In addition, July 14th of the lunar calendar is also an important occasion at the temple, called Moc Duc festival - the ritual of changing clothes for the Mother according to folk beliefs.

With an ancient architecture imbued with historical and artistic values and a peaceful and solemn space, the temple offers visitors the opportunity to learn about Vietnamese folk beliefs and feel the contemplative beauty of Hung Yen land.
