On the evening of May 6, at the Central Square of Politics - Administration (Northern Song Cam Urban Area), Hai Phong City held a general rehearsal for the opening of the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026 with the theme "Hai Phong - Convergence - Shine", in order to review and complete the script.
Attending the general rehearsal were Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Chau, Chairman of the City People's Committee Do Thanh Trung, Vice Chairmen, leaders of units and departments; thousands of professional actors and the masses participating with a large number of people, creating a vibrant and brilliant atmosphere, clearly showing the spirit of this year's festival theme.

The performances are elaborately staged, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, honoring the cultural and historical depth of the Port city, and at the same time depicting the image of a dynamic, integrated and developing Hai Phong.
The outdoor stage space is designed on a large scale, integrating modern performance technology such as LED screens, lighting effects, mapping... Technical systems are being tested synchronously to ensure performance effects during the opening night.
In addition, security and order assurance plans, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, and medical work are also thoroughly inspected, ready to serve a large number of people and tourists.

The Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2026 will officially open on the evening of May 8, at the Central Political - Administrative Square with the participation of singer My Tam and a cast of famous artists, contributing to promoting the image of a friendly, modern and rich in identity port city. At the end of the program, there will be a fireworks display.
To celebrate major holidays in April and May, the 71st anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day and the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2026, Hai Phong city organized the groundbreaking ceremony of 12 projects and works; inauguration of 3 works. At the same time, the city also organized 24 cultural, artistic, and sports events and activities in the area. In communes and wards, special zones also organized 40 events and activities to respond and celebrate.
