The program "So Xua, Dieu Moi" shows that Chau Van is being continued, renewed and spread by the creative spirit of contemporary art.

On the evening of December 21, the "Hoa Xua, Dieu Moi" painting art performance program organized by the group R3VIVE event in collaboration with folklore Club USSH (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) was held at Dai Nam Cheo Theater (89 Hue Street, Hanoi).

According to Head of the Organizing Committee of the Program Bui Thi Van Giang, the program is not only a deep gratitude to the ancestors who have preserved the art of Chau Van. The event is also a strong affirmation of the vitality of the beauty of this ethnic culture in the new era.

Through the bold combination of original values and contemporary art language, the program hopes to ignite the fire of love for traditional art in the hearts of young people.

From there, lyrical verses not only resound in the memories of the ancients but also penetrate the rhythm of modern life.

Sharing at the program, artist Thanh Long said that each performance is often long-lasting and requires artists to have endurance both physically and vocally.

Artist Thanh Long admitted: "Not every day I just sing for an hour, but there are days when I sing continuously for a very long time".

According to him, the most important thing is the process of persistent training over many years, the effort to maintain the voice and the awareness of health care in the profession.

According to artist Thanh Long, to pursue and stay with Chau Van for a long time, artists not only need talent but also have will, perseverance and a true love for national cultural heritage.

Artist Tran Xuan Thu - Head of the Hanoi emphatic singing and emphatic singing club - said that every time she steps onto the performance stage, especially with lyrical singing and emphatic singing, she always feels like she is "another person".

According to her, when the stage lights are lit up and the music rises, the artist seems to be given more energy to sublimate and fully contribute to each melody and each sacred moment.

Artist Tran Xuan Thu also clearly explained the difference between singing in the Literature and singing in the Chau Van - two concepts that often easily confuse the public. Previously, this art was only commonly known as Van singing.

However, when artists brought ancient melodies to the stage with new lyrics to serve artistic performances, the concept of Van singing was used to refer to the form of composing new lyrics on ancient melodies.

Meanwhile, Chau Van singing is a form of offering the Book, wishing hanh, associated with religious rituals, used to serve the prices of the servants and the prices of the chau in folk cultural practice.

According to artist Tran Xuan Thu, separating these two concepts helps the public better understand the original value of art of art of art for the record, while also recognizing new creations of performative nature.

She highly appreciated the efforts of the younger generation when they boldly renewed traditional art and expressed their respect for ancient values.

In particular, the traditional performance of the Van bridge at the program, performed by artists and young students, showed love and seriousness for the national cultural heritage, although there are still points that need to be further improved.
