On the afternoon of October 27, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province held a meeting to listen to a report on preparations for the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) of Khanh Hoa, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has agreed to adjust the Festival's organization time to from December 5 to 7, 2025 (instead of mid-October as previously planned).

Up to now, the local preparation work has basically followed the progress, ready to host the event.

The festival is chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, taking place at 16/4 Square (Phan Rang ward and Dong Hai ward), with the theme "Conserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era".

The event is expected to gather nearly 600 artisans, actors, and mass athletes of the Cham ethnic group from 6 provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the Festival, there will be many cultural, sports, exhibition, artistic performances... to introduce and promote the traditional beauty of the Cham people.

Through the event, Khanh Hoa province hopes to promote the image of Vietnam with diverse identities, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and harmony among ethnic groups.

At the same time, it affirms the concern of the Party and State for the work of preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minorities in the integration period.

Concluding the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien emphasized: the Cham Ethnic Culture Festival is a major cultural event of the whole country, with the meaning of honoring and introducing the traditional cultural values of the Cham people to domestic and foreign friends.

He assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly complete the organization plan and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for approval; closely coordinate with relevant units and localities to proactively deploy the preparation contents.

At the same time, urgently select a unit to organize events within the framework of the Festival, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, publicity, transparency and high quality.

Previously, the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival was scheduled to take place from October 17 to 19, 2025 in Khanh Hoa.

However, due to the coincidence of the Party Congresses of provinces and cities and the complicated developments of storms, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has agreed to postpone the organization time to December 2025.
