On November 10, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize a training conference to guide and implement support for agricultural production development under the National Target Programs in 2025.
Nearly 200 delegates attended, including secretaries, chairmen, leaders of the Economic Department and civil servants and public employees directly advising on agricultural production support activities in 45 communes and wards in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Lo Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee - said that on October 7, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision to adjust and assign local budget revenue and expenditure estimates to agencies and units after the arrangement and merger. In particular, career capital allocation to support production development under the National Target Programs in 2025.
According to Mr. Cuong, in fact, in the past, due to the slow allocation of capital, many production development models to support plants, seeds, fertilizers, and input materials had to be temporarily suspended, causing many difficulties for people and implementing units.

In addition to the achieved results, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee frankly pointed out that the implementation work still has limitations such as: some small-scale, dispersed projects; low efficiency; lack of close connection with the market and product consuming enterprises...
The report at the conference showed that in the period of 2021-2025, using capital from the National Target Programs, the whole Dien Bien province has implemented a total of 953 projects to support production development.
In addition to focusing on removing obstacles in mechanisms and capital sources, delegates discussed, shared experiences and proposed solutions to identify key points in implementing production support projects.
The conference also spent time discussing the development tasks of the province's key crops with advantages in the last 2 months of 2025: pineapple, monk fruit and the plan to organize coffee sowing.
Implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the province has determined to restructure the agricultural sector, strive to develop 20,000 hectares of coffee, 40,000 hectares of macadamia, and develop fruit trees based on the main crops such as passion fruit, banana, and pineapple.
