Son La is ready for the Highland Colors 2026 exhibition

Son La will organize the "Highland Colors" exhibition from October 8th to 15th to honor national identity, promote culture and strengthen regional linkages.

The exhibition "Colors of the Highlands" in 2026 will take place from May 8 to 10 in Moc Son ward, issued by Son La Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 977/QD-UBND, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Son La Provincial People's Committee.

The event aims to introduce the cultural, sports and tourism development potential of highland localities, while honoring and preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups.

The exhibition also aims to raise awareness in implementing the Party's guidelines and resolutions on cultural development, creating opportunities for exchange and connection between localities, contributing to spreading the image of Son La to domestic and foreign tourists.

Within the framework of the program, many rich activities will be organized such as: Photo exhibition "Beauty of the country - people of the highlands"; thematic exhibition "Colors of culture of ethnic groups in the highlands" introducing images and artifacts about life, customs, costumes, festivals, musical instruments and traditional crafts; and a space recreating a typical market fair.

Son La, Lai Chau, Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces will participate in displaying and introducing their own cultural features, scenic spots, OCOP products and typical cuisine.

Son La focuses on promoting outstanding destinations, focusing on Moc Chau National Tourist Area and many specialties such as bamboo rice, grilled fish, grilled meat, and corn wine.

The highlight of the exhibition is the opening ceremony on the evening of May 8, and the folk dance club festival taking place on 2 days, October 9 - 10 with the participation of mass art teams, the closing and award ceremony taking place on the evening of May 10, 2026.

It is expected that the event will attract about 200 delegates along with a large number of people and tourists, thereby contributing to promoting the local image, promoting tourism and socio-economic development of Son La province.
