The event is to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
After the merger, the new Gia Lai province became a fertile land, converging the unique values of the majestic great beyond and the endless blue sea. This is a new economic - cultural - tourism space full of potential, where every mountain, river, and beach are associated with legends, epics and deep humanity.

With preferential nature, Gia Lai owns a long coastline, white sand, clear blue water, combined with majestic mountains and forests and a large basalt plateau.
This land is rich in cultural - historical - revolutionary traditions; once the ancient capital of the Cham Pa Kingdom, where the origin of the national language was discovered, the Tay Son movement was associated with the Chinese lyric hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue.
In addition to traditional art forms such as Tuong, Bai Co Bi and many valuable tangible and intangible cultural heritages, Gia Lai is also famous for sea tourism, mountain and highland tourism associated with a unique gong cultural space.

Along with tourism, the province also stands out in terms of marine economy and agriculture. Gia Lai is a leading locality in fishing and processing seafood, especially ocean tuna, which has reached the world market.
Key industrial crops such as coffee, rubber, durian, pepper, banana, pineapple... have also become famous brand products, bringing high economic value.
On that basis, the province has been calling for and attracting investment in seafood processing factories, agricultural and forestry products, meeting export standards to the EU and many international markets.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the festival is an opportunity to honor and promote cultural values and natural heritage, and at the same time a bridge to bring the image of the new Gia Lai to the world.
The festival brings together many rich activities such as: art performance of Bai Choi; Central Highlands gong; Food festival "D Delicious dishes from Bazan and Sea" associated with displaying OCOP products, craft villages; Street festival, Light festival and brilliant fireworks display.
"The event has special significance, marking the beginning of a new development phase of the province. We identify cultural - ecological - sea and island tourism as one of the important pillars for socio-economic development, associated with preserving and promoting cultural values," Mr. Thanh affirmed.
