On August 26, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province held a press conference for the Elegant Festival of the Great Ocean - Green Sea convergence in 2025 with the theme "Aspiration for the Green Sea - Great Ocean shines", on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The festival is a series of unique entertainment, cultural, tourism and culinary events held in Quy Nhon from August 29 to September 2.
The Opening Ceremony took place at 8:00 p.m. on August 29, with an art program staged in a unique combination of the East - West regions of Gia Lai: Historical tradition, cultural identity, economic development potential, historical relics, tourism landscape, products of the basalt and sea areas.
One of the highlights is the program "Introducing the culinary art of ocean tuna", serving 5,000 free meals to visitors, taking place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from August 29 to September 1 at Children's Park.
In addition, the "Dices from Bazan and Sea" Food Festival, OCOP Product Exhibition, Craft Village and Gia Lai Province Coffee and Gong Culture Festival will open at 3:30 p.m. on August 29 and last until 8:00 p.m. on September 2, at Children's Park.
Combined with culinary activities, the variety show is performed from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day at Children's Park. In particular, the Philippine singer and the Gypsination band from Ho Chi Minh City will perform on the nights of August 31 and September 1.
Street festival activities, light festivals and traditional arts such as Boi singing, Bai Choi, traditional martial arts, gong performance and traditional musical instruments will take place from 7:10 p.m. to 8:40 p.m. on August 31 and September 1 at Chien Thang Square.
The street festival opens at 4:00 p.m. on August 31 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, parade at 5:30 p.m. with the participation of Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador 2024 Dinh Thi Hoa, along with artists, artisans, carnival actors, circuses... according to the route: An Duong Vuong - Xuan Dieu - Le Thanh Ton - Nguyen Hue - Le Hong Phong - Tang Bat Ho - Nguyen Tat Thanh - An Duong Vuong.
Next, the Light Festival with the theme "Great Thousand - Green Sea Rising to shine" takes place at 20:30 on September 1 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.
Sharing at the press conference, Miss Dinh Thi Hoa was moved to take on the role of the festival's Media Ambassador. She said this is a valuable opportunity to spread good values and promote the unique tourism image of the land to domestic and international friends.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Cao Thanh Thuong - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province - emphasized that the festival is a major and first event of the new Gia Lai province, aiming to spread the beautiful image of the land and people, promote and enhance the position of local tourism.
The series of events also honors the labor value of fishermen and farmers, contributing to the development of exploitation, processing, and promotion of trade in ocean tuna and agricultural products of Gia Lai province.
