At the meeting, Mr. Kwon Sung Teak, Chairman of the Korean - Vietnam Economic - Cultural Association, said that through research, he realized that Gia Lai has a lot of potential and advantages for development in the future.
According to Mr. Kwon Sung Teak, Gia Lai in particular and Vietnam in general possess a unique culture, imbued with national identity. This is a great advantage for the development of cultural and tourism sectors in the coming time.
Mr. Kwon Sung Teak expressed his desire to connect and open a direct flight route between Gia Lai and Korea, in order to create favorable conditions for Korean tourists to visit, experience, and at the same time learn and expand investment opportunities in the locality.
The Chairman of KOVECA emphasized that if Gia Lai creates suitable conditions, the province can completely become a new potential destination for Korean enterprises. He hopes that the provincial leaders will pay more attention and support so that Korean enterprises can easily access, invest and cooperate.
In response, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang expressed his pleasure at welcoming Mr. Kwon Sung Teak and the working delegation of Kosy Association and Joint Stock Company to visit and work in the province.
Mr. Hoang said that Gia Lai has many outstanding advantages in agriculture, renewable energy, processing industry, and eco-cultural tourism. These are also areas that the province is prioritizing in calling for strategic investors, including enterprises from Korea.
"After the merger, Gia Lai currently has 2 airports. The province has started expanding Phu Cat airport, with the goal of turning this airport into an international airport. The province is also asking the Central Government to open a direct flight from Gia Lai to Korea, in order to attract investors and tourists," said Mr. Hoang.
The Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province will continue to improve the investment environment in an open and transparent direction, and at the same time commit to accompanying businesses in the project implementation process. He hopes that KOVECA Association will continue to promote its role as a bridge, introducing many Korean enterprises and corporations to learn about and cooperate in Gia Lai.
