An Giang invites guests to hundreds of specialties at the Food, Culture and Tourism Week

An Giang – The Spring At Ty culinary, cultural and tourism week officially opened and will last until January 26.

On the evening of January 22, at Nguyen Du Lake Park, An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center (Center) coordinated with Long Xuyen City People's Committee to open the An Giang Culinary, Cultural and Tourism Week event. Attending the event were Mr. Le Trung Hieu - Director of the Center; Mr. Huynh Quoc Thai - Secretary of Long Xuyen City Party Committee and representatives of Long Xuyen City leaders. Especially, there was the presence of Miss Business Charm National 2024 Huynh Thi Tuyet Mai.

With the theme “Happy Spring, Welcome Lunar New Year At Ty 2025,” the event will take place until January 26, 2025. 30 booths participating in the event will bring visitors an interesting experience of culinary specialties through dishes imbued with the identity of the land where 4 ethnic groups have lived together for many generations: Kinh, Hoa, Cham, Khmer. The highlights are the dishes: O Thum grilled chicken, Ca Tum cake…

At the same time, the public can enjoy special art programs such as Khmer pentatonic music and Cham cultural performances that will recreate the diverse cultural life of An Giang communities.

In addition to booths displaying and selling products, the event also has many attractive activities such as: Artistic lanterns; folk games... Especially on the afternoon of January 23, 2025, 1,000 vegetarian banh xeo will be provided for free...

Mr. Le Trung Hieu - Director of An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center said: “This is not only a playground for entertainment but also an opportunity to promote tourism and boost the local economy. Businesses, restaurants, and eateries will have the opportunity to introduce products, exchange experiences and make an impression on visitors. At the same time, the event is also an opportunity to connect the community and preserve traditional cultural values, an ideal destination for every family during the Spring of At Ty 2025”.
