Congee soup broth is also an important factor, deciding the overall flavor of the dish. The broth is simmered from pork or fish bones, has a natural sweetness, richness, and aroma. The secret of each restaurant is often its own seasoning recipe, creating congee soup bowls with a unique flavor.

A bowl of standard congee soup is indispensable with attractive side dishes. Depending on your preferences and each restaurant, diners can eat with soft grilled pork ribs, crab cakes, rough and tough fish cakes, fresh shrimp with meat or fatty quail eggs.
