The 2025 Hanoi Food Culture Festival, with the theme "Hanoi - The journey of "Connecting Creativity" will take place from the evening of December 19 to December 21 at Thong Nhat Park.
In particular, at the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2025, the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will be announced to include "Knowledge about processing and enjoying La Vong Fish cake (Hanoi city)" in the list of national intangible cultural heritages.
Informing about the event, Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture - Sports of Hanoi City, affirmed: "recording intangible cultural heritage in the National List is not only to honor heritage values but also a solution to effectively protect, promote and turn heritage into assets, resources for sustainable development of the cultural industry, contributing to improving local economic life".

In addition to activities to honor and promote heritage, the Hanoi Food Culture Festival brings a series of unique culinary experiences that harmoniously combine enjoyment, learning and direct practice.
The festival space has about 60 booths introducing Hanoi cuisine and some localities contributing to honoring the heritage value, affirming the brand of "Hanoi cuisine" associated with the elegant and sophisticated identity.
The center of the festival is the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Space in the culinary field, which introduces typical culinary heritages of Hanoi that have been recognized such as Com Me Tri, Pho Ha Noi, Thanh Tri Banh cuon, Tay Ho lotus tea, Xu Phu Thuong, Cha ca Ca La Vong and the culinary craft of Bat Trang.
The Hanoi gift space recreates the elegant culinary style of Trang An people with familiar dishes such as bun cha, Ho Tay shrimp cake, Phu Thuong sweet soup, Uoc Le pig, nem Phung. The space simulating Hanoi's Old Quarter combines on-site processing, artisan exchange and the "Hanoi gift" area to introduce packaged culinary products for tourism.

Along with that are traditional cakes typical of the region such as Tranh Khuc Chung cakes, Quan Ganh sticky rice cakes, Vong village green rice cakes, Phu Nhi banh tet, Ninh Giang gai cakes, accompanied by the exhibition "The story of my hometown's cake" and an experience area for children.
The space to experience and practice culinary heritage opens up opportunities for visitors to directly participate in activities such as wrapping banh chung, unwrapping banh cuon, making jam, dried apricot, banh tet.

The Vietnamese Tea space is a place to recreate the tea processing journey, demonstrate the tea making techniques of artisans and introduce typical tea lines, helping visitors discover the traditional tea enjoyment style of the Vietnamese people.
In addition to the culinary spaces, the festival also organizes a Mobile Book Exhibition and a Photo Exhibition Area, creating a point of access to knowledge about culture, art, tourism and cuisine, contributing to perfecting the comprehensive cultural experience, where culinary enjoyment is associated with the story of heritage and spiritual values of the capital.
The Hanoi Food Culture Festival is an annual event chaired by the City People's Committee and assigned by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with relevant units.
In particular, from 2022, the Hanoi Party Committee issued Resolution No. 09 on Cultural Industry Development in the Capital for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, with a vision to 2045. In particular, cuisine has been identified as one of the fields that contribute to promoting the development of the cultural industry in the city.
Currently, Hanoi has 7 culinary heritages that have been listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, including: Hanoi pho; Me Tri green rice making (Tu Liem ward); Quang An lotus tea making (Tay Ho ward); Phu Thuong sticky rice making (Phu Thuong ward); Thanh Tri rolling cake making (Vinh Hung ward); knowledge of cooking Bat Trang dishes ( Bat Trang commune).
