From May 26-30, the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge 2026 takes place in Bangkok (Thailand), gathering thousands of chefs, culinary experts, international judges and teams from many countries and territories. This is one of the prestigious professional culinary competitions in Asia, organized according to the standards of the World Chef Association.
Right in their first participation, the Hanoi chef team left their mark when they won 2 bronze medals. The two chefs who brought achievements to the team are Chef Luu Huynh Chau and Chef Nguyen Thanh Hieu. This result not only recognizes the efforts of the contestants but also marks a positive start for the team on the journey of integration and conquering international professional playgrounds.

The Hanoi Chef Team participates in the competition with 5 members, headed by Coach Nguyen Van Tu (Iron Chef). Accompanying the team is the Training Board including 5 experienced experts, in which Chef Nguyen Cong Chung - Chief Chef of Sheraton Hanoi Hotel - takes on the role of Head Coach.
To prepare for the competition, the members went through many months of high-intensity training. Under the guidance of the Coaching Board, the contestants continuously perfected the idea of the dish, improved cooking techniques, presentation skills and competition style to meet the strict standards of the international arena.

According to the team representative, participating in professional competitions is not only to seek achievements but also to create opportunities for young chefs to learn, accumulate experience, access modern culinary trends and gradually improve competitiveness. The long-term goal is to build a force of Hanoi chefs with high professional qualifications, capable of integrating and developing in the international professional environment.
Winning 2 bronze medals right in the first time competing abroad is considered an encouraging achievement for the Hanoi chef team. This success contributes to promoting the image of the Capital's chef team, spreading the culinary cultural values of Hanoi and Vietnam to international friends.
