Foreign visitors reacted "half-crying, half-laughing" when trying Vietnamese coffee, some even humorously said that they needed to call an ambulance because the coffee was too strong.

Recently, a series of videos appeared on the social network TikTok recording the reaction of foreign tourists when drinking coffee in Vietnam. From black coffee, ice milk, silver pomegranate to egg coffee... all make visitors "admired" by their unique and surprising flavors.

Jay Grabias, TikToker (@jaygrabias) with more than 42,000 followers, posted a video with the words "How it feels after trying Vietnamese salt coffee for the first time".

He depicts his emotions through a series of photos of the pair such as: blooming roses, waterfalls, phi horses... and explosive fireworks, making viewers easily feel how refreshing he is after a sip of coffee.

Meanwhile, TikToker Justin Nguyen recorded the moment he tried to drink Vietnamese coffee right in front of Ben Thanh Market gate, Ho Chi Minh City. After only the first sip, his body automatically danced to a famous remix song. The male TikToker also did not forget to write a humorous status: "Someone calls an ambulance to help me".

The video attracted great interaction with nearly 170,000 likes and 1,306 comments. Many Vietnamese people sent compliments to the handsomeness of the male tourist, and continuously suggested delicious cafes in Ho Chi Minh City for him to visit and enjoy.

Leenda Dong, a female vlogger with two Vietnamese and Chinese bloodlines living in Canada, was surprised to try her hometown's coffees after a long time.

She said: "Have you ever felt "dug up the sun" and your heart beat beat beat? You will feel that when drinking Vietnamese coffee".

On her YouTube and TikTok channels, the female vlogger continuously posted videos introducing egg cafes, coconut milk coffees... for foreign customers to refer to.

In addition to the explosive reactions above, Western visitors were confused because Vietnamese coffee helped them stay much more alert, even not sleeping all night but still having extra energy, not feeling tired.

Vietnamese coffee is made mainly from robusta beans with twice the caffeine content of arabica, a popular coffee bean in overseas. Traditional phin making methods instead of modern machines also give a rich flavor and " awaken" all senses.

Besides pho and bread, coffee is the next dish of Vietnam that causes a stir and conquers the taste buds of many foreign guests. Previously, many international artists also expressed their special love for coffee when coming to Vietnam to perform such as John Legend, Ryan Tedder or Choi Siwon (Super Junior), Choiza, Taecyeon...
