Mixed rice paper is a street food originating from Trang Bang, Tay Ninh. In recent years, this dish has become popular in Hanoi and is loved by many snack lovers.
The main ingredient of this dish is rice paper, mixed with boiled quail eggs, dried beef, dried shrimp, shredded green mango, roasted peanuts, fried onions, herbs, kumquat juice... When a customer orders, the owner will put all the ingredients in a bowl, mix them together until the spices are soaked into each strand of rice paper. Each portion of mixed rice paper costs from 25,000 - 30,000 VND.
The sweet, sour, spicy flavors blend together, the crunchiness and toughness of the ingredients combine to create the unique flavor of mixed rice paper.
Linh Chi mixed rice paper shop on Me Tri Thuong street has been a familiar address for many years with diners addicted to this snack imported from the South.
My Nguyen, a student in Me Tri ward, said: “I have eaten at many other rice paper shops but none of them taste as good as this one. A box costs 25,000 VND and is quite filling, including rice paper mixed with 3 quail eggs, dried beef, fried onions, shrimp, mango...”.
In addition to mixed rice paper, the restaurant also has butter rice paper, rolls, satay, grilled rice paper... and many other snacks and drinks. In particular, rice paper with tamarind sauce is loved by many people.
Ngoc Nhi (Me Tri Thuong) enjoyed the restaurant's rice paper for the first time and said: "I saw many people lining up in front of the restaurant waiting to buy. Thinking it must be delicious, I tried to buy some to try. It was worth the effort. The sweet and sour mango salad is very delicious. The rice paper with tamarind sauce is rich and fatty, with lots of sauce."
“I really like the mixed rice paper and rolled rice paper dishes here, they are both cheap and delicious. The consultants are very friendly and enthusiastic, so I have become a regular customer of the restaurant,” a regular customer shared.
Previously, the restaurant only served take-out customers. Now, after renovation, the restaurant has a second floor space to serve customers who want to eat in.
The shop opens from 9:30 am to 10 pm every day, always crowded with customers, especially during rush hour.
