The visit took place on the afternoon of May 7. The activity was organized by the Provincial Forest Protection Department in the working program between the Departments of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai and Attapeu provinces, to strengthen exchange of experiences on resource management, forest protection associated with livelihood development and community tourism.
Here, the working delegation was introduced to the formation and operation of the community tourism model associated with agricultural development, environmental protection and exploitation of coastal landscape advantages.
Representatives of the cooperative shared experiences in mobilizing people to participate in tourism, building experiential products associated with local life, contributing to creating jobs and increasing income for people.
The working delegation also visited community living spaces, tourism experience areas, learned about OCOP products, local agricultural products and marine environmental protection activities in the My Khe area.
Mr. Huynh Van Liem - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province said that bringing the Attapeu provincial delegation to visit the community tourism model aims to introduce effective practices in rural economic development associated with protecting resources, environment and sustainable development.
Through the visit activities, the two sides have more opportunities to exchange experiences in resource management, livelihood development for people and promote cooperation in the fields of agriculture and environment between the two provinces in particular and the two countries Vietnam - Laos in general," Mr. Liem emphasized.
Mr. Kongchay Sidavong, Director of Attapeu Department of Agriculture and Environment, highly appreciated the community-based ecotourism model in My Khe, especially the participation of people in environmental protection and sustainable tourism development.
At the same time, expressing the desire that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges, cooperation and share experiences in areas of mutual concern.
The visit to the community-based ecotourism model at My Khe Community Agriculture and Tourism Cooperative not only contributes to strengthening experience exchange in resource management and sustainable livelihood development, but also further tightens the special friendship and solidarity between Quang Ngai and Attapeu provinces.
Thereby, continuing to cultivate the close relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to become increasingly strong and developed.
