In the first 4 months of 2026, tourism activities in the province continued to improve with increased visitors and revenue compared to the same period last year.
According to statistics, the total number of visitors to Quang Ngai in the first 4 months of 2026 is estimated at 2.205 million, an increase of 37% compared to the same period in 2025 and reaching 36% of the annual plan. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 38,100, an increase of 39% compared to the same period last year, reaching 35% of the annual plan.
Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 2,022 billion VND, an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year and reaching 48% of the annual plan. Of which, foreign currency revenue is estimated at 8.8 million USD, an increase of 42% compared to the same period in 2025.
In April 2026 alone, tourism revenue is estimated at 445 billion VND, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2025.
In the two major holidays, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the whole province welcomed about 720 thousand visitors, a high increase compared to the previous year. The average room occupancy rate reached 65 - 70%, of which many localities and key tourist destinations reached over 90%.
Tourist areas and attractions attracting many tourists such as Ly Son, Sa Huynh, My Khe beach, Song Tra night street... Many sea and island tourism products, ecology, community and culture are effectively exploited, contributing to diversifying experiences for tourists.
With positive growth in the first months of the year, Quang Ngai's tourism industry is expected to continue to break through in the summer peak season of 2026, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
