Forecast of tropical depression moving quickly and possibly strengthening over the East Sea.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the evening of June 4, a tropical depression is moving rapidly in the East Sea.

As of 8 pm tonight, the center of the tropical depression is located at about 20.2 degrees North latitude - 119.3 degrees East longitude, over the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea.

The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression reaches level 6 (39-49km/h), gusting to level 8. Forecast pressure in the coming days, the tropical depression will continue to strengthen slightly and move away from the East Sea.

Forecast until 7:00 PM on June 5th, the tropical depression will move in the Northeast direction at a speed of about 20km/h and be located in the sea area east of Taiwan Island (China). The intensity is likely to strengthen to level 6-7, gusting to level 9.

By 7:00 AM on June 7th, the tropical depression continued to move in the Northeast direction at a speed of about 20km/h, reaching the sea area northeast of Taiwan Island (China), intensity reaching level 7, gusts level 10.

Due to the influence of the tropical depression, the sea area east of the Northern East Sea area has strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8. Sea waves are 2-4m high, rough seas.

The meteorological agency warns that ships operating in dangerous areas, located east of longitude 117.5 degrees East and from 18-23 degrees North latitude, are at risk of being affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.

Vehicles operating at sea need to regularly monitor the developments of the tropical depression to proactively prevent and ensure safety for people and property.

People and tourists planning to visit these sea areas should pay attention to weather forecasts and follow local instructions to avoid storms and big waves that are dangerous.
