According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), Typhoon Dolphin is strengthening in the Pacific Ocean.
As of the morning of July 28, the storm's center is in the Northwest Pacific region. The strongest wind near the storm's center reaches 110 km/h, equivalent to a severe tropical storm. The storm is moving westward at a speed of about 20 km/h.
Typhoon Dolphin is forecast to continue to strengthen and reach typhoon level this afternoon July 28 with winds reaching 155 km/h.
Meanwhile, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said Dolphin will strengthen into a super typhoon on July 30. Typhoon Dolphin will become the 3rd super typhoon in the Northwest Pacific region in the 2026 storm season and one of the strongest storms ever recorded in the Northwest Pacific region.
The super typhoon is moving towards the Northwest with a maximum intensity of 280 km/h. However, because it is still far from the mainland, the super typhoon only causes thunderstorms and extremely strong winds at sea, but has not affected much the adjacent mainland areas.
In the East Sea, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the morning of July 28, Phu Quy Station had strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7; Huyen Tran Station had gusts of level 9.
The Gulf of Tonkin area, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the sea area east of the Northern East Sea, the Central and Southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone) have showers and thunderstorms.
Forecast for the day and night of July 28, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City and the west of the Central East Sea area has Southwest wind level 6, gusts level 7-8; sea waves 2.0-3.0m high, rough seas. The area west of the South East Sea area (including the sea area west of Truong Sa special zone) has Southwest wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts level 7-8; sea waves 2.0-3.0m high, rough seas.

In thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8, sea waves over 2.0m high.
