According to the weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the night of November 15 to November 18, the strip of land from South Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa is likely to experience rainy weather with moderate to heavy rain, common rainfall of 150-300mm, some places exceeding 400mm.
Some areas are warned to have more heavy rain such as Hue City, Da Nang City, the East of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai, with common rainfall of 250-500mm, locally over 700mm.
From November 19, the weather forecast shows that widespread heavy rain may continue in Da Nang City and the eastern areas of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa. In addition, there is a warning of the risk of very heavy rain, exceeding 200mm in 3 hours.
The meteorological agency issued a warning of the risk of natural disasters due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail at level 1; only Hue City, Da Nang City, and the East of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai are classified as level 2 due to higher risk. Heavy rain forecast for many days can cause flooding in low-lying areas, residential areas, urban and industrial areas; at the same time, increase the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in steep slopes.
Meanwhile, due to the influence of the strengthening cold air combined with the high-altitude phase, the weather forecast shows that from last night to November 15, the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have few clouds and sunny days. The temperature at night and early morning will drop sharply; on the nights of November 13, 14, 15, the lowest temperature will generally be 16-18 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North, some places will drop below 13 degrees Celsius. The air at night and in the morning is considered cold, especially in high mountainous areas with the possibility of severe cold.
