Meanwhile, the Northern region is forecast to end the heat wave, moving to cooler weather.
From last night, June 2, to early morning, June 3, the mountainous areas of the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 150mm.
From 7pm on June 2 to 8am on June 3, many places across the country recorded heavy rain with rainfall exceeding 50mm. Some locations with significant rainfall include: Viet Lam (Ha Giang) 169.4mm, Dak Duc ( Kon Tum) 74mm, Sinh Long (Tuyen Quang) 67.8mm, Coc Pang (Cao Bang) 59.2mm, Quang Ha (Quang Ninh) 58.6mm, Mai Pha (Lang Son) 57.6mm and Nguyen Phich (Ca Mau) 57.8mm.

Heavy rain >80mm for 3 hours at some points. People and tourists should be on guard during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Localized heavy rain can cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas in some provinces such as Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son... Tourists should consider changing their schedule if they plan to climb mountains or camp near rivers and streams in these provinces.
From June 4 onwards, the widespread hot weather in the Central region will end, however, in the first days of June, the risk of extreme phenomena still needs to continue to be closely monitored.
The prolonged heat waves accompanied by low humidity and increased electricity demand lead to the risk of fire and explosion in residential areas and forests.
High outdoor temperatures also significantly affect health, especially the risk of dehydration, exhaustion or stroke due to heat stroke if exposed to the sun for a long time.
People and tourists should especially note that the actual outdoor temperature may be 2-4°C higher than the forecast, especially in areas with a lot of concrete, asphalt roads or dense urban space.
If you plan to swim at tourist destinations in the North Central region such as Sam Son, Bai Dong (Thanh Hoa), Bien Quynh, Cua Lo (Nghe An), Thien Cam (Ha Tinh) ... tourists should go to sea early in the morning around 5am or late in the afternoon from 4pm to avoid the hot time.
