A low pressure area located in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will cause rain in some areas of the country's sea and inland.
At 3:00 a.m. on March 30, the low pressure area was determined to be about 330 km west of Cuyo town, Palawan province, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in the 4:00 a.m. bulletin.
According to PAGASA, this low pressure area has a very low chance of developing into a tropical storm, but will cause cloudy skies, scattered rain and thunderstorms in the Western Visayas and Mimaropa regions.
The areas of Caraga, Davao, Eastern Visayas, Bicol and Quezon province will have cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms due to the influence of the winter wind.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see little to no clouds, with scattered showers or thunderstorms due to the influence of the winter monsoon.
PAGASA warns of the risk of flash floods or landslides during heavy rains or strong thunderstorms.
Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast, with rough to rough seas.
The remaining areas of the island nation will have light to moderate winds blowing from the east to the northeast, with rough to moderate seas.
Currently, this low pressure area near the East Sea does not affect the marine weather in Vietnam. However, the Gulf of Tonkin and the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa) will have strong winds and large waves due to the influence of the strengthening cold air mass.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the early morning of March 30, the Gulf of Tonkin had strong Northeast winds of level 7, gusting to level 8-9.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the Gulf of Tonkin will have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7 in the morning, gusting to level 8-9. Strong sea; waves 2.0-3.0m high.
