According to the latest weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and this morning (8.24), the area from Quang Ngai to Lam Dong had local heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall from 7:00 p.m. on August 23 to 08:00 a.m. on August 24 was over 100mm in some places such as: Ngoc Tu 1 (Quang Ngai): 142.4mm, Ia Grai 1 Hydropower Plant (Gia Lai): 108.2mm.
It is forecasted that from the night of August 24 to the night of August 25, the Northern Delta, South Phu Tho, South Quang Tri, Hue and Da Nang will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 70-100mm, locally over 170mm.

From Thanh Hoa to North Quang Tri, there will be heavy to very heavy rain, with common rainfall of 150-300mm, locally over 500mm.
On August 24, the Northern region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 70mm.
On the night of August 24, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 15-30mm, locally over 70mm.
The Hanoi area will have cloudy days with scattered showers and thunderstorms; Cloudy nights with rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms.
In the afternoon and night of August 24, the area from Quang Ngai to Lam Dong and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 90mm.

On August 26, heavy rain will continue in the Northern Delta, South Phu Tho and from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang. Northern Delta, South Phu Tho, South Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang: 30-50mm, locally over 80mm. Total rainfall from the night of August 24 to August 26 reached 100-150mm, locally over 250mm.
The area from Thanh Hoa to North Quang Tri will have rainfall from 50-100mm, locally over 200mm. Total rainfall from the night of August 24 to August 26 reached 200-400mm, locally over 700mm.
