The weather in the Northwest today is relatively favorable for sightseeing and exploration activities when there is sunshine during the day, the highest temperature is commonly from 29-32 degrees C, some places above 33 degrees C. However, due to the large temperature difference between day and night, tourists should prepare appropriate clothing to ensure health throughout the journey.
When traveling to famous tourist destinations such as Sa Pa, Mu Cang Chai, Y Ty, Ta Xua or Moc Chau, tourists should bring thin jackets to use in the early morning and evening, when the temperature may drop below 22 degrees Celsius in some high mountainous areas. In addition, it is necessary to prepare hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and drinking water to limit the impact of hot weather during the day.
Although it is forecast that there will only be showers and thunderstorms in a few places, tourists should still bring umbrellas or light raincoats because the weather in mountainous areas can change quickly. Sudden rains not only affect the sightseeing itinerary but also make mountain passes and trails slippery, making travel difficult.
In particular, during thunderstorms, tourists should limit standing under tall trees, near power poles or open areas to avoid the risk of being affected by lightning. People planning trekking, camping or cloud hunting should regularly update weather information and proactively adjust their schedules if strong thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, or gusts of wind appear.
For families with young children and the elderly, preparing enough medicine, personal belongings and keeping the body warm at night is necessary. In addition, tourists should prioritize choosing accommodation facilities that ensure safety in case of unfavorable weather.
Monitoring weather forecasts before and during the trip will help tourists be more proactive in arranging their itinerary, while fully enjoying the natural beauty of the Northwest region in safe conditions.
