The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting updates the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (May 13) in regions across the country.
In the late afternoon and night of May 12, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, common rainfall from 10 to 30mm, in some places over 70mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
In the South, on May 13 and 14, hot weather will continue to occur on a large scale. The highest temperature is commonly from 35 to 37 degrees, especially in the Eastern region, there are places above 37 degrees Celsius. The lowest humidity is commonly from 50 to 55%, causing the feeling of stuffiness to increase significantly in the period from noon to afternoon.
The North and Central Central regions also experience hot weather with common temperatures from 35-37 degrees. In particular, the western mountainous region has hot and intense heat with temperatures from 36 to 38 degrees, in some places above 38 degrees C. Air humidity decreases, commonly from 45 to 50%.
Meanwhile, in the North, localized heat appears with temperatures in some places above 35 degrees Celsius. Especially on May 14, the Northern Delta region is likely to experience widespread heat with the highest common temperature from 35 to 36 degrees Celsius, in some places above 36 degrees Celsius.
Forecast, hot weather in the North is likely to last until around May 15; Central region lasts until around May 17; and Southern region may last until around May 15-16. 5. Disaster risk level due to hot weather is currently level 1.
The meteorological agency warns that prolonged hot weather combined with reduced air humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand.
