According to the new weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on October 14 in the Northeast, from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh, there will be rain, showers, and thunderstorms in some places.
The coastal areas of the North will have moderate rain, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
Some places with heavy rain such as Ha Lau (Quang Ninh) 191mm, Thuy Nguyen (Hai Phong) 116mm, Xuan Thuy (Nam Dinh) 76mm, Yen My (Thanh Hoa) 73.4mm.
It is forecasted that from the evening of October 14 to the end of October 15, the Northeast and Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will have rain, moderate rain, scattered thunderstorms; common rainfall is 15-40mm, locally over 100mm.
Hanoi weather has showers and thunderstorms of 15-30mm, locally over 80mm. The Northwest region has scattered showers and thunderstorms on the night of October 15, with some places having heavy rain.
The area from Quang Tri to Lam Dong and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
People and tourists should be on guard against the risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind in thunderstorms; heavy rain can cause flash floods, landslides, and flooding in low-lying areas.
