Thanh Hoa to Northern Quang Tri area from the evening of August 19 to August 21, this area will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, common rainfall of 60-120mm, locally very heavy rain over 200mm.
The Northern Delta and Phu Tho South from the evening of August 19 to August 20, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, common rainfall of 30-60mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.
Other areas in the evening and night of August 19, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, rainfall of 15-30mm, locally over 70mm.
From southern Quang Tri to Hue City, the Central Highlands and Southern regions have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, common rainfall of 20-40mm, locally heavy rain over 80mm.
The meteorological agency warns of the risk of heavy rain with intensity over 100mm in 3 hours. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Heavy rain can also cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, and industrial parks.
