Weather forecast for tomorrow, October 2, the tropical depression near the East Sea will strengthen into a storm, heading towards the Philippine mainland.

According to the new weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the evening of October 1, the center of the tropical depression was at about 14.8 degrees North latitude; 129.8 degrees East longitude, in the eastern sea.

The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 7 (50-61km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving in the West Northwest direction, speed about 15km/h.

It is forecasted that by the evening of October 2, the low pressure will continue to move in the West Northwest direction, 15-20km/h and is likely to strengthen into a storm. Intensity level 8, gust level 10.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will move in the West Northwest direction, traveling about 25km per hour, entering the East Sea and continuing to strengthen.

The tropical depression has not directly affected the weather at sea in our country.

On land, the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; on the night of October 1, the mountainous areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.

The Central and Southern highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

People and tourists should be on guard during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Currently, floods on Lo River (Tuyen Quang), Cau River, Thuong River (Bac Ninh), Thai Binh River (Hai Phong) are rising. Due to the influence of regulating upstream reservoirs and upstream floods, the water level in the downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station is rising, the downstream flood of the Ca River (Nghe An) is changing little.

In the next 12 hours, floods on the Lo River are likely to peak at above level 3, then decrease; floods on the Cau River and Thuong River are likely to peak at level 3, then decrease; floods on the Thai Binh River continue to rise and stay above level 2; floods downstream of the Ca River continue to fall and stay above level 2.

From the next 12-24, floods on the Thai Binh River are likely to peak above level 2, then decrease; floods on the Lo River, Cau River, and Thuong River will continue to decrease and remain below level 3; the Ca River will continue to decrease and remain above level 2.

Flooding occurred in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas in the Northern region, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An; flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in the Northern mountainous areas, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An.
