The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (June 21) in regions across the country.
On June 21, the midland and delta areas of the Northern region, from Hue City to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak continue to experience hot weather. The highest temperature is commonly from 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places above 38 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity is the lowest from 55-60%. The hot weather concentrates from 11 am to 5 pm.
Especially the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri recorded more intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 37-39 degrees C, in some places above 39 degrees C. The lowest humidity is from 50-55%. The hot time lasts from 10 am to 5 pm.
On June 22, hot weather tends to expand in the North (excluding Lai Chau and Dien Bien), and continues to be maintained in the area from Hue City to Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak. The highest temperature is commonly from 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C. The lowest humidity ranges from 50-55%.
In the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, intense heat continues to be maintained with the highest temperature from 37-39 degrees C, in some places exceeding 40 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is only from 45-50%.
The meteorological agency predicts that from around June 25, the heat wave in the Northern region is likely to gradually decrease in intensity. Meanwhile, the heat wave in the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak may continue for many days to come.
Meteorological experts note that hot and intense heat combined with low air humidity increase the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand, while also posing a risk of forest fires. In addition, prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause water loss, exhaustion and affect people's health.
