The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (May 26) in regions across the country.
From May 26-27, the Northern Delta region, Phu Tho and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue City continue to experience intense and especially intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly from 38-40 degrees Celsius, in some places exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. The lowest humidity fluctuates around 40-45%, the hot weather lasts from 9 am to 7 pm daily.
In the remaining areas of the Northern region (except Dien Bien and Lai Chau), Da Nang City and eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Lam Dong also recorded widespread hot weather. The highest temperature is commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 40 degrees Celsius. The lowest humidity is about 45-50%, the hot weather lasts from 9am to 6pm.
The meteorological agency predicts that hot weather in the North is likely to last until around May 27 and gradually cool down from May 28. Meanwhile, the Central region may continue to be hot until around May 28 before decreasing intensity from May 29.
Due to the impact of prolonged intense heat combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas and forest fires is at a high level due to a sharp increase in electricity demand. In addition, people and tourists need to pay attention that prolonged high temperatures can also cause dehydration, exhaustion and affect health if people are exposed to the outdoors for a long time.
