According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, during the Hung Kings Commemoration holiday (from April 25 to 27, 2026), the weather in the Northern region is mainly cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. This weather pattern may disrupt outdoor activities.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue maintains a cloudy state, with showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially on April 25, thunderstorms tend to increase, appearing scattered on a wider area.
Meanwhile, the weather in the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam is generally sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Notably, the Central Highlands region is likely to experience scattered thunderstorms in the evening of April 25, while the Southern region continues to record hot weather during the day.
In Viet Tri (Phu Tho) - where the main activities of the festival take place, the weather during the 3-day holiday has a fairly high probability of thunderstorms, about 60 - 65%. The temperature ranges from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius, not too hot but easily affects outdoor activities, especially in the afternoon and evening.

The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may be accompanied by dangerous phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, people need to closely monitor weather forecasts to proactively plan their travel.
Weather for April 30 - May 1
Entering the April 30th and May 1st holidays (from April 30th to May 3rd, 2026), the weather trend across the country is generally more stable, but still maintains a state of hot sun interspersed with thunderstorms.
In the North, it will be cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in mountainous areas, scattered thunderstorms may appear. The Central region will maintain sunny days, with hot sun in some places, while in the late afternoon and night there will be localized showers and thunderstorms.
In the South, the weather continues to be characteristic with hot sunny days, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and evening, posing a risk of extreme weather during thunderstorms.
Meteorological experts continue to note the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind in many areas during both holidays.
