To serve the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031 taking place at the National Convention Center (No. 2 Thang Long Avenue, Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi), Hanoi City Police announced a plan for traffic diversion and organization on some roads in the Capital.
Accordingly, traffic diversion and temporary road bans are implemented in the hours of 6:30 - 8:30, 10:30 - 12:00, 12:30 - 14:30 and 16:30 - 18:00 from June 3 to the end of June 5.

During this time, trucks with a tonnage of 1.5 tons or more and passenger cars of 16 seats or more will be temporarily banned from circulating on some routes, except for buses, environmental sanitation vehicles, incident handling vehicles, vehicles with protective badges, vehicles of the police and military forces and priority vehicles according to regulations. Other vehicles will also be restricted from circulating depending on the actual situation.
Roads under temporary traffic ban and vehicle restriction include Kim Ma, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung, Pham Hung (section from Me Tri to Thang Long Avenue), Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, Ring Road 3 elevated road (section from Ho Tung Mau to Thanh Tri bridge and vice versa), along with the Thang Long Avenue service road from Pham Hung to provincial road 70 overpass.
To reduce traffic pressure, functional forces also guide vehicles to travel along alternative routes. Specifically, vehicles from eastern provinces such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh to the northern, western and Northwest provinces are recommended to move along Thanh Tri bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway - National Highway 18 and vice versa.
For vehicles from the eastern provinces to Phu Tho, Son La, Dien Bien and localities in the Northwest region, the recommended route is Thanh Tri bridge - Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Cau Buou - Phuc La - Van Khe - Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 and the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, vehicles from Vo Van Kiet street or Thang Long bridge to Thang Long Avenue can move along the Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 - Thang Long Avenue route.
People and tourists are advised to proactively monitor traffic diversion information, choose appropriate routes and comply with the instructions of functional forces. When encountering a convoy of priority vehicles performing priority signals, traffic participants need to quickly change direction to the nearest level crossings or intersections to give way according to regulations.
