Temporary road ban schedule to serve Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026

During DIFF 2026, visitors need to pay attention to temporarily closed roads and traffic diversion areas to have a convenient fireworks viewing experience.

Taking place from May 30 to July 11 with the theme "Danang - United Horizons - Connecting Horizons", the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 (DIFF 2026) gathers 10 fireworks teams from 9 countries and territories.

Performance nights are held on Saturday evenings every week by the Han River, expected to attract a large number of people and tourists to the city center.

Therefore, Da Nang City People's Committee has developed a plan to temporarily ban roads and divert traffic in the central area to ensure safety, while creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to watch fireworks displays.

According to the plan, from 4 pm until the end of the program on fireworks nights, all cars will be banned from circulating and motorbikes will be restricted on Tran Hung Dao and Bach Dang streets (section from Quang Trung to Dien Hai Citadel).

Tourists staying at hotels located in temporarily closed roads should proactively arrange travel time early or walk into the central area to avoid congestion. Alternative routes such as Ngo Quyen, Tran Thanh Tong, Le Duc Tho and Chu Huy Man are recommended for more convenient travel.

In addition to paying attention to the temporary road ban option, the Organizing Committee also recommends that tourists prepare all necessary items such as portable chargers and choose comfortable clothes when participating in outdoor events lasting for many hours.

Some items that will not be allowed to be brought into the venue include flammable substances, alcohol, pets, large umbrellas, sharp objects and items that may affect the overall safety of the event.

Because the performance area has high sound intensity and strong light effects at close range, families with children under 3 years old are recommended to choose a remote viewing location to protect the hearing and vision of children, while ensuring a safer and more comfortable fireworks viewing experience.
