According to Hanoi City Police, the temporary road ban and traffic diversion are applied in the hours from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM today, May 12, and tomorrow, May 13.
During the road ban period, trucks with a designed total weight of 1.5 tons or more and passenger cars with 16 seats or more will be restricted from circulating. Cases allowed to operate include buses, environmental sanitation vehicles, incident handling vehicles, vehicles with protective badges, vehicles of the police, army and priority vehicles as prescribed.
Roads temporarily closed
Roads that are temporarily prohibited and restricted from vehicles include: Kim Ma, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung, Pham Hung (section from Me Tri to Thang Long Avenue), Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, Ring Road 3 elevated (section from Ho Tung Mau to Thanh Tri bridge and vice versa), Thang Long Avenue service road (section from Pham Hung to Provincial Road 70 overpass).

Alternative route
Hanoi City Police organize traffic diversion and guide vehicles to move according to alternative routes as follows:
- Vehicles from eastern provinces such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh going to northern and northwestern provinces such as Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang will move in the direction of Thanh Tri bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway - National Highway 18 and the opposite direction.
- Vehicles from the East to the Western and Northwest provinces such as Phu Tho, Son La, Dien Bien are guided to travel along the Thanh Tri - Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Cau Buou - Phuc La - Van Khe - Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 route and vice versa.
- Vehicles from the direction of Vo Van Kiet, Thang Long bridge to Thang Long Avenue will travel along the Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 route and the opposite direction.
Hanoi City Police recommends that people proactively monitor traffic ban information, choose appropriate routes to avoid congestion and ensure convenient travel during the congress.
