According to the latest weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air has affected most of the Northeast region on January 31, 2026, causing Hanoi and northern provinces to turn cold, accompanied by light rain and scattered drizzle.

Currently, due to the impact of cold air, the Northeast region has rain, scattered light rain, and temperatures decreased by about 2-4 degrees Celsius compared to previous days. At Bach Long Vi station, strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 have been recorded, showing clear activity of the northeast monsoon.

In the next 24-48 hours, cold air will continue to expand its scope of influence. In the late afternoon and night of January 31, the cold air mass will spread to other areas of the Northeast, North Central and Northwest regions, then affect the Central Central region.

The weather gradually warms up to 25-27 degrees Celsius around February 05-06.2.

Rain weather forecast will return on February 07-08, the temperature will drop to 15 - 16 degrees C.

From the night of January 31st to February 2nd, the weather in the North will maintain a cold state, the lowest temperature is 13-16 degrees C, in high mountainous areas there are places below 10 degrees C, the average common temperature is 17-19 degrees C. The North Central region has the lowest temperature of 15-18 degrees C, averaging 18-20 degrees C.

The meteorological agency also warned that from February 1st to the night of February 3rd, the area from Quang Tri to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai will have rain, showers; locally there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
