Lunar New Year is an ideal time to travel. Your trip will be more complete if you prepare your luggage fully and appropriately for the weather.

The Lunar New Year holiday is an occasion for many families to choose to travel. Please pay attention to fully preparing some necessary items before traveling.

Identity documents

Citizen identification card, passport, visa (if traveling abroad), driver's license... are the types of identification documents that you should always carry. If flying domestically, passengers can use the VNeID application to present their electronic citizen identification card or identification information.

Appropriate clothing

If you intend to go on a spring trip to see the flowers blooming in the Northern mountains, bring thick coats, woolen hats, scarves and gloves to help family members keep warm and ensure health throughout the trip.

At the same time, thick socks and waterproof shoes are also necessary to protect your feet from the cold when going to wet foggy areas.

If you plan to go to the beach, a swimsuit and beach sandals are the things to bring.

Sunglasses and sunscreen

These are two indispensable items to protect your eyes and skin from the sun, whether at the beach or in the mountains.

Heat retention patch

In addition to bringing warm clothes, buy heat-retaining patches to prevent catching a cold on cold days when traveling to high mountains.

Water bottle

A thermos will help you avoid dehydration or hypothermia during your spring trip to the highlands. If you plan to visit a sunny and windy coastal area, a cool water bottle is a basic item to ensure you do not get dehydrated.

Medicine

Basic medicines such as cold medicine, headache medicine, fever reducer... are things you should have in your luggage. If you take prescription medicine, you should proactively carry it with you so that it is ready to use when needed.

Snacks

Snacks like banh mi, dried fruit, or nuts and cereals will help maintain energy to quickly recover after a long tiring journey.

Flashlight

Be prepared with a flashlight and some supporting equipment when moving in low light conditions, especially early in the morning or late at night.

Compact but powerful flashlights will make traveling easier on bumpy mountain roads.

Backup battery

Don’t forget to pack a spare battery to avoid the situation where your device shuts down mid-flight. However, you should not put spare batteries in your checked baggage when flying.

Professional photography equipment

Before your trip, prepare enough photography equipment or a smartphone with a quality camera to capture wonderful moments.

In particular, don't forget to prepare extra memory cards, rechargeable batteries and a tripod to easily take beautiful pictures in all lighting conditions.
