The total occupancy rate of hotel rooms in the province during the Lunar New Year is estimated at 70 - 75%, with 90 - 95% in Sa Pa National Tourist Area alone.
In particular, after the snowfall on New Year's Day, the weather in Sa Pa town gradually warmed up and became fresh, creating favorable conditions for locals and tourists to enjoy spring.
According to information from the Sa Pa Town Tourism and Monuments Development Management Board, on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, 7,123 tourists visited the “town in the mist”. Of these, nearly 2,000 were from India, South Korea, Thailand, China, etc.
More than 1,500 tourists chose Fansipan peak as their destination on the first day of the year. Many tourists believe that being on the “roof of Indochina” in the first days of the year has great significance and wish for a smooth and successful new year.
