Dawn and sunset are the two moments that many tourists look forward to when coming to Phu Quy special zone. Depending on the time of year, the sunrise on the island usually appears from about 5:15 am - 5:45 am. The sky gradually changes from dark purple to light pink, then orange-yellow when the sun rises above the horizon.
Meanwhile, sunset usually takes place from about 5:15 PM - 6:00 PM, when the last rays of the day cover the sea surface in bright orange-red color.
To have beautiful photos and choose an ideal viewing angle, visitors should go to sunrise or sunset spots about 20-30 minutes in advance.
Three sunrise viewing spots to miss
Phuot Slope
Located in the East of the island, Doc Phuot is one of the places to welcome the earliest sunrise on Phu Quy. From a high position, visitors can take a panoramic view of the vast sea and sky and watch the sunrise.
The road to Doc Phuot is quite easy to go. Here there are many wide shooting angles covering both mountains and the sea. When the sun starts to rise, the winding road and the slope facing the sea become a background loved by many young people.
Phu Quy Flagpole
Phu Quy flagpole is not only a project that affirms Vietnam's sea and island sovereignty but also a very beautiful sunrise viewing spot.
From here, visitors can see the panoramic view of Bai Nho and the sea ahead. In particular, the slope leading down near the flagpole is a place chosen by many to record the first sunlight reflected on the sea surface.
Bai Nho - Ganh Hang

Speaking of Phu Quy, Bai Nho - Ganh Hang is always on the list of the most famous destinations.
The crescent-shaped beach with clear blue water, surrounded by rocky outcrops protruding into the sea, creates a very impressive scene. Many tourists wake up at 4 am to move to Ganh Hang, waiting for the moment of dawn to appear amidst the quiet scenery of the sea.

Tam Thanh embankment, Bai Lang embankment

Located right in the center of Phu Quy special zone, Tam Thanh and Bai Lang embankments are familiar places for local people to stroll every afternoon.
From here, you can watch the sunset right in front of you without being obscured by construction works. When the sunlight turns orange-red, the entire sea surface is covered with a layer of bright light, creating a peaceful scene.

Buu Dien beach is one of the beaches most loved by the islanders every afternoon.
