Going young into the sea to open a tourist route
Tourism has become one of the spearhead economic sectors of many localities. This is also expected for the new Dak Lak province - a locality formed on the merger of the old Dak Lak and Phu Yen (old).
This merger has opened up many opportunities for attractive tourism development when converging the beauty of beautiful mountain and forest landscapes and vast green beaches.

With a favorable geographical location, the new province will exploit the potential of sea and forest tourism, creating unique connecting tours from the blue sea to the great forest.
Accordingly, visitors can immerse themselves in the cool green beaches in the East, enjoying fresh seafood. Then return to the west of the province to explore the beauty of the mountains and forests.
Ms. H'Doan Nie (Cuor Dang commune, Dak Lak) said that she has been to many famous tourist destinations in Dak Lak (old) such as waterfalls, experiencing Ai De cuisine, watching gong performances...
Now she is very happy that her hometown has a sea. Therefore, she decided to take a trip to the East of the province, the old land of Phu Yen.
During her days here, she took the opportunity to visit many famous places such as Nhan Tower relic, Nghinh Phong Tower, fishing port...
For her, these were wonderful experiences. The energy from the sea helps her relieve stress and pressure in life.
She added that the recent trip was not enough to fully explore the beauty of the land of Dong Dak Lak. She will return one day at a time.
Investing in upgrading transport infrastructure
Mr. Dao My - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee shared, "Phu Yen (old) and Dak Lak (old) are now merged into one, which are two localities with great cultural potential.
Phu Yen (old) represents the culture of Sa Huynh in the Eastern region. Dak Lak (old) represents the culture of the Central Highlands.
When it converges, Dak Lak has both forests and seas. The Western region (old Dak Lak) stands out with waterfalls, elephants, ecological lakes, primeval forests and the Central Highlands gong culture. The Eastern province (old Phu Yen) has the strength of marine tourism, fishing villages, fishing ports and ocean tuna specialties.

With its favorable geographical location, Dak Lak has planned a strategy to exploit potential, including the tourism industry.
This locality is aiming to build a closed tour chain so that visitors can experience the beauty of the mountains, forests and mountains as well as the characteristics of the eastern coastal area.
To promote this potential, Dak Lak province has proposed to the Central Government to invest in a expressway with a length of about 122km, starting at Bai Goc and Phu Yen ports (old) and ending at Dak Rue Border Gate, Dak Lak (old). Dak Lak hopes the expressway will be completed before 2030.
While waiting for the expressway, Dak Lak proposed that the central government consider expanding National Highway 29, the main road connecting the two areas.
Mr. Dao My - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee expects that the transport infrastructure will be upgraded and improved to maximize the potential of the locality, including the tourism industry.
According to a report by the Dak Lak Department of Finance, in the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of visitors welcomed is estimated at 3.885 million visitors. Total revenue from tourism in the province reached VND6,965 billion.
